It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Ron Buckman.

Many of you will remember the stalwart work that Ron did on behalf of the Weald Site. He was instrumental in keeping the shop open and functioning during a time when it was poorly supported and not keeping its head above water.

Always able to give advice, Ron always had time to chat and lend encouragement to one and all. 

Ron was given a meritorious award by the BHAF in recognition of his many years of unselfish service to the Allotment Federation and especially the Weald Site, and was given a Lifetime Honorary Vice Presidency of the BHAF.

Ron will be greatly missed.

His funeral was held today (11th May) at 1pm at the Woodvale Crematorium. John Burns, Chairman paid our respects on behalf of the Federation.
