BHAF 2008 AGM Comment

A very successful AGM meeting with exceptional attendance from the membership resulting in four volunteers to join our committee one of which as secretary, we wish to welcome them and will post their photo on the know your committee page when we have their permission.
Your thoughts on was the large attendance due to the wine and cheese, the personnel invitation, the excellent newsletter, scheduled speakers.

Ann Baldridge from “Brighton & Hove Food Partneship” who set up a table with information on their activities. The federation is hoping to work with them on future projects.

Paul Neary the south east mentor for the “Allotment Regeneration Initiative” who gave us a short talk on ways to help improve allotments, copies of their winter2007/2008 newsletter were available to take away

Unfortunately the PCSO from the police who would have talked to us on crime prevention was unable to attend due to his Wife being admitted to Hospital. He has apologised for not coming and the lack of his colleagues not advising. However, he will come on a future date possibly to a site reps meeting.

Dates for the next meetings are Wednesday June 11th, Wed. 8th October, Wed. January 4th 2009, Wed.11th March 2009 for AGM.
